Client Case Study

Fair View Accountants

UK accountancy practice, Watford, fairviewaccountants.com

The Client

Fair View Accountants is an ACCA-qualified accountancy and tax practice based in Watford, serving clients across the United Kingdom. Their work covers year-end accounts, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, self-assessment, corporation tax, CIS and audit, for small and medium businesses, limited companies, contractors, partnerships, start-ups and buy-to-let landlords.

The Challenge

Accountancy is one of the most crowded and most trust-dependent categories in professional services. Every firm offers a near-identical service list, so nobody wins on features. Search behaviour splits two ways: people looking for an accountant near them, and people searching for a specific technical need such as CIS, VAT thresholds or landlord tax.

A practice that only builds for its own name and a generic services page captures neither.

What We Did

  • WordPress site management and optimisation, including performance and mobile responsiveness
  • On-page work: structured metadata, content structure and internal linking across the service set
  • Technical SEO: regular audits, page speed, and schema markup
  • Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimisation for accountancy searches in the area
  • Off-page authority building through relevant, quality backlinks
  • Performance tracking in Analytics and Search Console, driving the next round of decisions

The Result

Higher search visibility for a practice competing in a saturated professional-services market, with both the local searches and the specific technical enquiries covered rather than just the firm name.

Archive project. This engagement ran from April 2019 to June 2021. Search Console and Analytics access ended with it, so there is no live data to show here the way there is on the current projects. The work is recorded as it stood at handover.
